Founded in 1963 in Switzerland by engineer Philip Rolla, the company began by focusing on the world of extreme marine racing.

During Offshore Class 1 powerboat races and world speed record attempts, conventional propellers exhibited structural and cavitation limitations:

Rolla has revolutionised the sector by developing designs capable of withstanding the dynamic stresses of semi-submerged propellers.
